My inspiration…
“IRL” I have many clients of all ages though mainly working with adults. Once our climate changed with uncertainty, I received a text from my sister saying, “They just closed our schools”. Her emojis said enough. I knew immediately what she was thinking and there was nothing I could really do for her but listen. That’s when it hit me. My nieces would be home all day and out of their normal routine. Sure, they will have virtual school lessons but how long can you engage with them? What about the rest of the day? Kids need physical activity, it’s good for the mind, body and spirit. Physical Education exists “IRL” — so it only makes sense to expand it online into a virtual gym class. That’s when I came up with Gym Class!
What’s the difference between using Instagram Live, YouTube, Facebook Live or downloading a program?
It’s a live class that’s coached specifically to the participants.
You can virtually connect with your friends/classmates.
You can see other people in your class (gallery view).
Class is by invite only. Password required and must be accepted by me before the start of each class.
It’s a programmed for kids but Adults can join in class too!
What will we be doing? Each class will be a different program that will require little to no props/equipment. If there is a prop required for class I will let you know the day before what you’ll need. Don’t worry it’s nothing you will need to go out and buy. It will be an everyday item you should have at home, if not you can still do the exercise.
What is the class schedule? Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
How will class take place? Class will take place using “Zoom” Video Conference. You can access Zoom from a desktop computer, laptop, ipad/tablet or other mobile device.
Is there equipment involved? No. There may be a prop that’s programmed but don’t worry it’s nothing you will need to go out and buy. It will be an everyday item you should have at home, if not, you can still do the exercise.
Why should I purchase “gym class”? It’s exclusive (invite only). Class is professionally programed for children of all ages provided by a certified instructor. Just like in school, it’s in a monitored virtual environment by a certified teacher.
What if I miss a class can I make it up or get a refund? It’s okay if you miss a class but there will be no make up sessions, refunds/credit. If you would like personal training for an additional fee please let me know.
What if I am late to class? Class is live so just join in but be sure to put your video sound on “mute” so it’s not disruptive to the class while in session.
Do I have to be indoors to take the class? No. You can be outdoors as long as you have a mobile device to log into class.
How do I sign up? Fill out the registration form and I will send you further instructions.
